Meanwhile, in a small saucepan cook broccoli in enough lightly salted water to cover for 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
3. In a large bowl combine eggs, milk, basil, salt and pepper. Stir in bread cubes, broccoli, caramelized onion, cheese, and crumbled bacon. Transfer to a 2-quart baking dish. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours.

DIY Monster Box

Once again while browsing through the web in search for party ideas for my BF sons 1st birthday.
I ran across this quick and easy DIY project to do with the kids.
The original post came from Giggles Galore, where she used the boxes as a "Tattle Monster". It's super cute and a great idea to stop the kids from telling on each other.
I on the other hand will be using these monsters as utensil holders for the party.

All you need
tissue box
white paper
scissors
glue
*extras- wiggly eyes, paint, pipe cleaners, pom poms, etc.

I just drew some teeth on white paper & cut them out

then just hot glued the
teeth around the opening

It was just that simple and easy, but of course you can get really creative with it.
Here are a few great examples of the Monsters made on Giggles Galore.

Hope you guys loved these as much as I do.
Have a Great week ahead,

"Green" Monsters

My best friends son is turning 1 in a few weeks and his party theme is "Monsters".
Since I don't have a little boy and will probably never get the chance again to make Monsters, I have made it my mission to create some cute, not to scary green decorations.
(I only used things I had laying around my craftroom)

All you Need:
toilet paper rolls
paint
construction paper
glue

wiggly eyes
scissors
paint brush
*extras- ribbon, pom poms, tissue paper, pipe cleaners, etc.

There was really no steps needed in creating these critters, other than to make sure to paint them first and let dry completely before decorating.
Hope you guys loved these as much as I do and check back later for more!!

1 Door Down

It only took me a month, but I can finally say that I have finished 1 of 3 of my Antique doors.
After stripping 83 years of old paint and varnish, sanding till my back was sore, and then staining......its done.

I'm a power sanding pro
(special thanks to my Pawpaw for the instruction)

Water base Stain (Colonial Walnut) &
Tack Cloth to clean dust

Next time I'll wear Gloves

I can't take my eyes off my pretty paint-free door, now I just have to finish the other two. This time it shouldn't take so long........lets hope!!

Happy Monday,
